Garnier Olia campaign

I was so excited when I got the opportunity to try Garnier Olia hair color. I love changing my hair color all the time it is actually a running joke in my family what color is her hair going to be this month? I was excited to because I was diagnosed with liver disease and I read on the net that if you color your hair all the time with hair color that has ammonia in it it can make your condition worse. Garnier Olia does not have ammonia in it it is powered by oils.

It was great when I first colored my hair I loved the color, i got many compliments to. Then I noticed the first time I washed my hair my towel looked liked I tie dyed it. So did the next one and every shower after that. I ave never had a color that has faded or come out like that all these years that I have been coloring my hair.

So the excitement I once had for this product it now gone and I will not be using it again. I am not the only one that has had this happen to them, my best friend also got to try this hair color and she too was having the same problem with it.

CARBmaster Yogurt From Krogers

If you are trying to lose weight or just watching your Carbohydrates, CARBmasters yogurt from Krogers would be a great yogurt for you to try. I was put on a special diet by my doctor and I am not aloud to have foods with a lot of carbs or fats in them. This yogurt has been such a good treat for me. I am in love with the Carrot Cake CARBmasater yogurt, I also really enjoyed the Spice Pear.

These yogurts have about 60 calories which an average lite yogurt usually has about 80. I was also impressed with the other nutritional facts 1.5 grams of fat, 4 grams of carbs, 3 sugar grams, 8 grams of protein. With those kind of facts who could feel guilty about eating them on a diet. Speaking of diet there was no diet after taste to this yogurt, just some really good flavor. The texture is rich and creamy. There is a wider variety of flavors, Krogers has also brought out flavors like the Carrot Cake that I have never seen anyone else have.

This yogurt isn't just for those losing weight or on special diets either my youngest son Jordan who is a very picky eater loved it. He had it gone before I could return to the fridge to get me one. Just for that reason i think I will be keeping them around.

Schick Hydro Silk® razor

I had a chance to try out a great new razor called the Schick Hydro Silk. This razor has water activated moisturizing serum infused with marine extracts and shea butter that hydrates your skin for up too two hours after shaving. This razor also has 5 Curve-Sensing blades with Skin Guards to help reduce irritation. It also has a soft touch handle and a compact oval cartridges that fit the curves of a woman's body.

More blades means less irritation due to the fact of having to use few strokes to shave. It also gets into those places that it is usually hard to shave without cutting yourself, like the ankles, knees, shins, and underarms. The rubber handle provides control while shaving. For best results, apply your favorite shaving cream, gel or foam when using the Hydro Silk.

I can tell you since I have tried this razor I will be throwing all my throw-outs away. My legs feel so silky and smooth, my husband loves it. I feel sexier too.

You can buy a Schick Hydro Silk razor at any grocery store, drug store, or mass retailers. The starter kit sells for an average retail price of $9.49, and the 4-packs of refill cartridges retail for around $15.11. Well worth the price in my eyes.

The Schick Hydro Silk won Best Razor in 2012 Cosmo Beauty Awards. It was also named Best Hair Remover in the 2012 Beauty Awards for Fitness Magazine, Prevention Magazine, and Ladies Home Journal.

*I received this razor as a part of a Bzz Kit from I was not paid for this blog, I was given the razor for my honest review.

How to give yourself a great manicure

I find it hard to find time to make it to the salon to get a great manicure, so I thought I would share some easy tips to give yourself a great manicure.

 1. The first step to any manicure is to make sure you have removed all your old nail polish with nail polish remover.

2.The second step to a great manicure I find is to exfoliate your hands. To do this, use a mixture of salt and hand soap or a commercial exfoliant hand lotion. Wash and dry hands.

3.The next step is to moisturize. The best lotion I found for this is Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream. You only need a little dab it goes a long way. As soon as you use it you will see the results.

 4. This next step is simply to Soak your fingers in a bowl of warm water to soak and soften the cuticles. You may also opt for simply using a cuticle softener and skip the soaking process.

 5. Next, gently push back the cuticles using a cuticle stick. Do not cut them. If you have hangnails, cut them carefully with nail scissors or cutters.

 6. The next step is the shaping of the nails using a double-sided emery board. This is the step where you will decide the shape of your nail. Just make sure you file in one direction to avoid rough edges. I opt for the oval shaped nail.

 7. Next is to shine the nails with a nail buffer. The best way to do this is in a figure eight shape

8. Apply a thin clear base coat. This will help protect the nails and allow for longer polish wear. I love to use Sally Hansen clear coat for this.

 9. Once this is completely dry, choose your polish color. I love all of Sally Hansen nail polish. When giving myself a manicure I usually go with Sally Hansen Royal Romance Frost.

 10. Beginning to paint your nails dip the brush into the bottle and pick up only a small amount. Beginning at the bottom of your nail, paint one upward stroke to the top of your nail, gently flattening the brush against your nail to spread the color. Then, do the same stroke on either side of the first stroke, thus completing the nail's coloring in three strokes. Move on to the next finger and continue until both hands are done. Allow this coat to dry and then apply a second coat if desired.

A little trick I learned from a friend if you have to go somewhere before your polish is completely dry put a little cuticle remover on your polish and nothing will stick to it.

* I posted this post as a part of my Bzz campaign activities, this was a part of my Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream campaign and I was not paid for this I was given the product for free in return I will give them my review of Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream

Parissa Face & Bikini Wax Strips

I recieved the Parissa Wax Strips for face and body in the natural VoxBox from Influenster. I always wanted to try waxing at home, and now I can say I have. When you first open the box you will find a plastic little bag with the  16 strips that have already have wax on them. Also you will find a bottle of vial of Azulene Oil. Azulene Oil  soothes the skin while protecting it from ingrown hairs. They also give you an instruction manual.  The wax is all natural, which is another plus to me. These are great, there are two different sizes you can buy the larger ones are the ones you are going to want to use on your legs.

These are really easy to use. First  do a patch test,  24 hours before using. If there is no irritation you can use this product. Also before using Parissa, the skin should not be cleaned  Second you have to warm the strips, you have to do this by rubbing them between your hands. Third you have to separate the strips into two strips, do this slowly.  Fourth you, press on the wax strip. You will want to do this firmly and smoothly. Next hold skin taunt and  very fast pull the strip off,. do this the opposite way of hair growth. You can  use the same strip more then once.

The strips are just the right size to get in the right places. It also last 6 weeks. Which will not only save a lot of money but help with the environment  seeing how you will not need to keep buy dis-possible razors. They can be used on your face or body like your arm pits or your legs, or even your bikini line. The Azulene oil really does help to soothe the skin post waxing.  You can buy a box of them for $9.00 You can find it at Fred Meyer, Giant Eagle, Hannaford, Harmon, Ricky’s, Select Target, Ulta, Wegmans, Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods Markets and online at http://parissa.com/
